Titre de la conférence de Dr Poitras: The CAD-CAM Subperiosteal Implant The solution to treat the severe vertical atrophy of the posterior crest of the mandible
To treat the very common severe vertical atrophy of the posterior crest of the mandible, where the challenges of bone grafting render a slim prognostic and the insertion of endosseous implants is impossible due to the lack of bone, Dr. Yvan Poitras and his team have created the CAD-CAM Subperiosteal ImplantTM. From a CBCT-Scan of the patient’sjaw, this bone onlay implant is fully designed and manufactured with CAD-CAM technologies in a block of Ti 6Al 4V to perfectly fit and marry the morphology of the patient’s bone under the periosteum. The transmucosal exit points allow the fixation of the prosthesis and the macro design of the implant promotes osseointegration and even guided bone regeneration to envelop its structure to become an inlay. This solution only requires one surgery. Dr. Poitras will present diagnosis, treatment planning, surgery and the final prosthetic reconstruction using this advanced technology.
